Seeking Employment

Seeking Position in Houston, TX: My name is Chandana Halaharvi, I am currently pursuing a fellowship at the Portland Foot and Ankle Institute (PFAI) in Oregon. I graduated from an extensive, high volume residency program at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio in 2019. My residency
provided thorough and well-rounded foot and ankle surgery training in a level 1 trauma center.

In my residency, I performed more than 2000 foot and ankle procedures across over 1000 surgeries. My expertise entails reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, arthroscopic procedures, tendon balancing and charcot reconstruction.

The PFAI fellowship program has not only provided me with advanced surgical training, but has also given me tangible insight into the structure and administration of two distinct private practices; one that is trauma intensive and the other with a focus on reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Both practices embrace arthroscopy as a vital part of surgical treatment procedures; this exposure has allowed me to perform many
arthroscopies and arthroscopic-assisted arthrodesis. The fellowship also given me the freedom to run and manage my own clinic, which has allowed me to fine-tune my ability to diagnose complex pathology and follow through with treatment and eventual followup. Additionally, I’ve had extensive practice with billing and coding procedures, business and financial management and research publication. I feel that this breadth of training in my residency and fellowship has given me the necessary toolkit to be a successful foot and ankle surgeon.

Upon completing my fellowship, I intend to move to Houston, Texas and join a private practice. I relish the opportunity to develop healthy relationships with my colleagues based on my personal proactivity and reliability. I’m constantly looking for growth opportunities and emphasize empowering others around me through my positive, can-do attitude. If I am fortunate enough to receive an opportunity, I know that I will make an excellent addition to any team. Please do not hesitate to call or email me – (651) 270-3162 or Posted 11/18/19
